Skin Care: Cruelty Free!

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share a few of my skin care favorites I have been using and definitely recommend! I have a combination skin type with dry cheeks and a typically oily "T" zone. If you've seen my previous posts, I did purchase Alba Botanica's Acne Dote face and body wash, but it was waayyyy too strong for me and resulted in lots of breakouts. On a normal day my face is usually clear with redness on my cheeks and a few breakouts here and there. If you can relate to my skin type, here is what I recommend:

I purchased the travel size of Josie Maran's Light Argan Oil from Sephora and i'm definitely going back for the full bottle when I run out! (Travel size lasts a good while too!) I use this on dry skin after I wash my face and on my extremely chapped lips. I've always had a problem with dry lips, but after applying the oil every night they seem to be improving. I also use a drop of this oil on dry makeup products and my ABH cream contour kit for easy blending.
I had to include Lush on this list because everything they create is pure heaven. In addition to all the amazing face masks they offer, I also apply Ultrabalm after using the Bubble Gum Lip Scrub when applying my makeup so my lips can be nice and hydrated before any lipstick. What I love most about Lush is the company's morals and determination to end animal testing once and for all!

Not too long ago I purchased the Tartelette in Bloom palette and it came with a bunch of cute little samples including the new Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. Let me tell you, I am obsessed with this product! My face has never felt so clean and absolutely no redness after a wash. Tarte also offers a hydrating cream to use after the face wash for added moisture. I definitely see this as my next purchase for skin care. I also use the Rainforest of the Sea foundation and absolutely love it. This entire collection is vegan, but you should know although Tarte themselves are cruelty free, their parent company (Kose) is not.
Last but certainly not least is the more budget friendly option: Burt's Bees! Like I mentioned earlier, I typically get redness after washing my face. This is my favorite cleanser from Burt's Bees because it is very gentle on my skin. I do own the matching face moisturizer as well, but usually use it for removing eye makeup. I typically pick this one up at Target but it can be found at HEB and Walmart too. Although Burt's Bees is a cruelty free company, their parent company (Clorox) is not. Please let me know in the comments if you've tried these products or have any questions at all! Thanks for reading!

If the majority of skin care companies are to be believed, you need different skin care treatments for different conditions. Men and women need different treatments and there's nothing mass produced skin care products can't achieve, including erasing wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and acne.
