Hello my kind kitties! Today I am so excited to talk about my favorite cruelty-free & fur-free lashes! I only wear lashes that DO NOT contain any animal fur. (I love my synthetics!) I do not consider lashes made with fur cruelty-free, and if you would like to know why, you can find out in a previous post I wrote here. My absolute favorite lashes that I currently own are my Featherella Lashes in the style "Kitty". These lashes are not your everyday natural glam lashes. They are thick, heavy, too big for my face, dramatic as heck lashes and i'm OBSESSED. If you're not used to wearing lashes you will probably hate them, but if you are, definitely give these a go. They make me feel like a total badass, and with packaging as adorable as that? I die. If you're looking for a more natural lash I highly recommend Pinky Rose lashes in the style "Dazzle". I adore the whispy effect these lashes have, and found them very comfortable. Personally I prefer my lashes with a clear band, however, these were very easy to apply and sat on my lash line with ease. Compared to Pinky Rose and Featherella I have to admit these look a little underwhelming, but I have this pair on my list for good reason. If you are just starting to wear lashes, House of Lashes is a great company to start with. The lashes I am wearing in the image above are a "mini" version of their regular lashes in the style "Siren". They have a clear band which makes it very easy to bend and apply to your lash line. These are by far the most comfortable lashes I have ever owned! If you have a problem with your lashes being too large or long for your eye length, HOL's "mini" lashes are a great choice. I didn't trim my lashes one bit! :) I have a history of purchasing liquid lipsticks from Black Moon, but this is my first time trying their lashes. I purchased my first pair in the style with the same name as my wizard boyfriend, "Draco". To me these lashes are the toned down version of the Pinky Rose pair shown above. I can see myself using these for natural glam and everyday looks. Honorable Mention:My final recommendation for false lashes is Rouge and Rouge. This company creates beautiful fur-free lashes of great quality. Pictured above are the Black Magic Lashes in Cosmic Kitten and Nirvana. I did not include Rouge and Rouge on my main list because I frequently have a hard time applying these. Although they are gorgeous, they are a bit stiff and slightly uncomfortable. Still, I look forward to trying different styles with this company due to their excellent customer service and cool style. Pictured above is my Poison Ivy comic style Halloween look I created last October using Rouge and Rouge lashes in Nirvana.
Thanks for visiting Kind Kat!

Hello everyone! I wanted to take the time to write a super short and sweet post about Winky Lux! My lips have been suffering lately with the drastic weather changes happening in Texas. One day my skin feels exceptionally hydrated, the next dry, cracked, and dull. I have had a problem with cracked lips nearly my entire life. It seems no matter the amount of water I drink they will always be chapped! (The struggle is so real!) I usually treat my dry lips with Argan Oil (another post for another time) however, the convenience of carrying a little bottle of oil everywhere I go is not so high, thus, I set out to find the perfect lip balm for my lips. Winky Lux is a delightful cruelty free beauty brand that offers a wide variety of products from eye palettes to adorable vegan friendly lip balms. Each lip balm reacts with your skin's PH levels to produce your own unique shade of pink! I tried the Glimmer Balm and Flower Balm in Green. The Glimmer Balm (shown above) created a light shade of pink on my lips with small traces of glitter. The balm itself is absolutely stunning and my lips felt hydrated and smooth after application. This balm is cruelty free, paraben free, and gluten free. The Flower Balm I chose contained a delicate green flower in the center. This balm is offered in pink, blue, green, yellow and purple. Both created the same shade on my lips and left traces of coconut scent behind. I enjoyed the consistency of the Flower Balm a little more than the Glimmer Balm, but if you want that extra sparkle both are wonderful products! The Flower Balm is cruelty free and paraben free. I am incredibly pleased with the products I purchased from Winky Lux and cannot wait to try more!
